DESCRIPTION:\nRich Heitmeyer joins us ats speaker at the April meeting.  He will give a current tax law update.\n \nRich is a Tax Partner with Carroll and Company and has been with the firm since 2001, and joined the Tax and Campaign Department in 2004. With over ten years of public accounting experience, he specializes in federal and state campaign finance compliance, controllership, payroll tax, and individual and corporate tax preparation and planning services.\n \nRich holds Bachelor of Science degrees in accounting and finance from Florida State University, and received his Florida CPA designation in 2011.\n \nHe is a member of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA), the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.\n \nRich serves as a Board member with the FICPA since 2016 and was President of the Tallahassee Chapter from 2015-2016 and former Secretary (2013-2014), Treasurer (2012-2013) and CPE Liaison (2011 -2012). He is also a member of the Tallahassee Regional Estate Planning Council, Treasurer of Hawks Landing Homeowners Association, Board Member of Roberts Elementary School Advisory Council, a graduate and member of Tallahassee Chamber Leadership Tallahassee Class 34, Treasurer of Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce, Leads Group 4 from 2012 -2014 and was a participant in Opportunity Tallahassee in 2011.\n \nRich and his wife, Lauren, have two children.\n
