Where is the Line and How to Avoid Crossing It
Lori will discuss The Florida Bar's unlicensed practice of law process in general and then focus on common areas involving estate planning including the preparation of living trusts and wills. The bright lines and gray areas will be discussed as will ways to avoid any problems.

Lori received her J.D. degree from Emory University School of Law in Atlanta, Georgia and was admitted to The Florida Bar October in 1985. Since 1987, Lori has been employed in the Unlicensed Practice of Law Department of The Florida Bar, Tallahassee, Florida (Assistant UPL Counsel 1897 -2000, Director, Client Protection 2000 - present). She is staff counsel to both Florida Bar Commissions on the Multijurisdictional Practice of Law and the Paralegal Review Committee. In addition, she is counsel to Florida Registered Paralegal Committee and Florida Registered Paralegal Program. From 2003 - 2005 she was a member of the American Bar Association Standing Committee on Client Protection.
Lori is a frequent lecturer to local bar associations and other professional groups in Florida and other jurisdictions regarding unlicensed practice of law issues.
