Alex Hager will discuss the State of the State of Florida Banking and the changes in the banking landscape. He will address industry trends, bank failures to date and predictions on the Florida banking industry through 2014. Florida real estate pricing and sales will also be included as part of the discussion”.
Alex is a Shareholder in the Financial Institution Advisory Group at Saltmarsh, Cleaveland & Gund. He served as the Acting Commissioner for the Florida Office of Financial Regulation from 2008-2009 and served as Florida’s Deputy Commissioner from 2003-2008. In these roles he was responsible for the licensing, chartering and regulatory oversight of financial institutions, securities and finance licensees for the State of Florida. This included federally insured state-chartered banks and credit unions, trust companies and international banking offices. Alex has over 35 years experience in the regulatory and financial services industries.
